Denied to all or most private universities?!

* It could have been because of the recommendation letters

1) US universities require usually 3 recommendation letters: 1 college counselor school report, 2 teacher recommendation letters

2) Recommendation letters might not get you into a university way above your profile, but they can get you denied from any and all universities otherwise

-->   And, your SAT, grades, extracurricular activities couldn’t have prevented this

-->   Exclusive universities are looking for some X factor and not someone who is merely a book worm, for example

* Did you know a resume or self introduction can help with your recommenders?

--> Especially helpful to your recommenders is if each is different and highlight different aspects,

not only because you won't get the same three recommendations, but also

because the English/Humanities teacher and the STEM teacher can emphasize different aspects of your profile!
